We use that drop box program that puts a folder on everyone's pc and in each folder, each person has a folder with their name on it that holds the tunes they would like to cover. PS *codecs may be the wrong terminology but it is similar to an issue I had. Use an audio editor app like Audacity(free) If they can be opened with it, you might be able to use an option to convert to a format Sonar can decipher. It may be the ones which cannot be opened in Sonar were made using *codecs* Sonar cannot deal with. Also look at the tags and see if they tell you what the encoder was. You might try the Foobar2000 technique and see if the files can subsequently be imported into SONAR. When I examine their headers and compare files that work versus files that don't work, the one thing the broken MP3s all have in common is that they were encoded using iTunes version 9. These are podcasts downloaded from sites I've frequented for months or years with no problem. I now have a batch of mp3s that absolutely will not play in my mp3 player. This workaround has worked fine for years, until very recently. This apparently strips something from the file that was confusing the player. My workaround for this problem has been to load the files into Foobar2000 and re-write them using the "rebuild mp3 stream" utility.

I download podcasts and store them on the player for later listening. I've never had an issue importing any MP3 into SONAR, but I've had issues with playing some of them on my little MP3 player (Toshiba Gigabeat), suggesting that MP3 is not the generic standard I once thought it to be.
